Sitagliptin & Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets

Sitagliptin + metformin is an anti-diabetic drug that is applied in the treatment of type II diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is a disorder where either the body fails to produce sufficient insulin (the hormone that works to lower blood sugar levels) or there is resistance to insulin action. Consequently, insulin is formed in huge quantities, but it fails to respond in the body’s organs.

Sitagliptin + metformin is a combination of Metformin and Sitagliptin. Metformin delays the release of stored sugar from the liver, reduces the intake of sugar from the stomach, and enhances the utilization of sugar by your body. Sitagliptin raises the body’s level of chemicals that stimulate the pancreas to secrete more insulin, thus regulating blood sugar levels. Sitagliptin + metformin, therefore, regulates blood glucose levels from getting to very high levels after meals.

Benefits:

  • Sitagliptin + metformin causes the pancreas to make more insulin, to effectively use insulin, and to lower the extra sugar the liver produces.
  • It keeps blood sugar levels after meals under control. Apart from this, in long-term use, it does not gain weight.
  • Sitagliptin+metformin is crucial in regulating blood sugar levels.
  • It avoids severe diabetes complications such as eyesight loss (retinopathy), kidney (nephropathy), nerve damage (neuropathy), diabetic foot ulcer, and wound healing delay.

Uses:

  • Sitagliptin + metformin is regularly administered to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes patients, especially those who may need further medication in addition to lifestyle modification.
  • This drug helps to enhance overall glycemic control through increased insulin sensitivity and reduced hepatic glucose output.
