Teneligliptin Hydrobromide Hydrate & Metformin HCl (SR) Tablets
Teneligliptin with metformin Hydrochloride is prescribed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Type-2 diabetes mellitus is also referred to as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes. It is a condition where blood glucose levels are elevated above normal due to insulin deficiency, insulin resistance, or both.
Teneligliptin + metformin Hydrochloride is a combination of two drugs: Teneligliptin and Metformin hydrochloride. Teneligliptin inhibits the activity of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 enzyme, which in turn raises the level of insulin in the body and lowers the level of glucagon. Metformin hydrochloride acts by lowering glucose production in the liver and glucose absorption in the intestines. Together, Teneligliptin + metformin Hydrochloride regulates blood sugar levels.
