Alpha Beta Arteether is an antimalarial drug applied in the cure of malaria. Malaria is a disease of parasites caused due to the plasmodium species. The disease occurs upon biting by the infective female Anopheles mosquito. The symptoms can be chills, intermittent fever, and sweating. It increases the toxic, and highly reactive free radicals in the blood that are harmful in nature. These destroy the parasite and prevent the infection from progressing. Thus, Alpha Beta Arteether is employed for the prevention of relapse of malaria caused by plasmodium species.
